SPRING SUMMER 2024
AFTER THE PLAY
The Austrian sculpture Erwin Wrum presents freedom that transcends prescribed conventions of the art of sculpture by conveying the message that any objet in everyday life can be inflated, melted down or cut off to form a sculpture.
His “Flat Sculptures” series, paintings of inflated English vocabulary, can be defined as both painting and sculpture as the letters are flat but form is inflated. The interesting lines of the “inflated English vocabularies” inspired the Lottie Paneling Design Series this season.
The Collection is full of visually easy everyday wear with metaphorical twists and unique design elements. The Edna Shirt and Hana Shorts look like a shirt-dress that has been cut in half. The Bora Shorts seem flat on the outside but has a unique spatial layout on the sides. The Pastel Check Series has been inspired by a combination of happy colors evident in Erwin Wrum’s work.
